Daniel provides the vision and leadership organizations need to understand, develop and implement IT initiatives to drive their businesses forward. He identifies and converts business needs to real technology projects that tie back to organizational strategy, while driving the activities associated with that strategy, including governance, planning, implementation and maintenance.
In his work, Daniel works with executives to understand where their business is thriving, as well as where it’s stuck, and what they believe is holding them back from meeting their goals. After an assessment, he determines where the organization needs to add new processes, streamline existing ones, rework or replace technologies and providing training. He’s motivated by the improvements he knows will come from these changes, as people adapt and embrace a new method of doing their work.
“Technology is critical to a business’ success. Organizations that elevate the role of technology to the same level as their strategic business development are better equipped to meet their goals.”
Daniel Elacqua, PMP, Senior IT Advisor
Before coming to Hartman, Daniel worked as a technology and business strategist, portfolio manager and project manager for organizations including NAFSA: Association of International Educators, Morpheus Project Consultants—a consulting company he owned—and the American Specialty Toy Retailing Association. These roles taught him to be clear in his vision, how to engage relevant stakeholders and lead a team, as well as the importance of strong communication and teamwork.
Daniel is not the kind of person to rest during his time away from the office. You may find him in the yoga studio, rock climbing, playing Bocce ball or traveling. He also recently adopted a teenager.
