To George, it’s all about the people. “At the heart of my work,” he says, “I help organizations better manage their operations, so their employees can achieve what they always knew was possible.”
George knows the nonprofit and association industry extremely well, having worked with over 100 nonprofits of every type, mission size and structure. It’s a perfect fit for him, because just as many nonprofit organizations need to focus on doing more with less, George is passionate about – and highly skilled at – maximizing the benefits of existing resources. As a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and active volunteer with ASAE, he understands how associations operate, as well as all they can accomplish, with straightforward tools, clear processes and strong IT leadership.
“Technology is the tool, and we need to make sure people are well equipped to work with it. We’re most successful when the IT staff is well trained and supported.”
George is a problem solver, plain and simple. He collaborates with his clients to explore their goals and understand their limitations. From there, he uncovers opportunities to make their processes more effective, more efficient and just easier. One of his specialties is helping associations leverage their data to improve prospecting and member retention. He’s also expert at finding ways for nonprofits to significantly increase their service levels without the need to add more staff.
George’s desire to make a difference follows him out of the office and onto the slopes. An active skier and snowboarder, he’s also a member of the volunteer ski patrol for Cannan Valley, West Virginia, a volunteer member of the National Ski Patrol and a Red Cross CPR Instructor.
