Up against the toughest IT challenges, Scott’s can-do attitude, relaxed nature and talent for delivering viable solutions eases the minds of executives who look to him for measurable business results based on their IT resources. Scott has the rare ability to communicate highly-technical issues in easily grasped, non-technical terms. This allows him to work alongside his clients to develop and implement cost-effective, goal-driven strategies.
“Technology should be seen as an enabler of business goals, and clearly defined business goals help determine how technology should be applied. It’s a cycle – it’s all tied together.”
Scott’s background includes IT leadership roles across many different industries and companies, ranging from small businesses to national nonprofit organizations. At the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators, he managed an infrastructure team that worked with six data centers and more than 400 servers. In another role, he was responsible for the analysis and eventual implementation of Amazon Web Services (AWS) in support of application development efforts. Through research, education and his ability to see the big picture, Scott and his team demonstrated that AWS had the necessary functionality and flexibility to meet the association’s business requirements for rapid resource scaling and load testing. The association was able to deploy new services to its members and avoid purchasing large systems.
When he’s not working with clients to solve their toughest business problems, Scott keeps busy coaching youth baseball, racing cars and brewing his own beer.
