Combining a background in professional counseling, experience in the nonprofit industry, and a passion for project management, Elssa is the backbone behind the planning, coordination and execution of projects that bring value to Hartman’s nonprofit and association clients. She is personally invested in the people behind the projects and strives to make their satisfaction a top priority.

A licensed counselor by trade, Elssa previously worked as a wellness psychotherapist where she supported families and individuals through difficult life transitions. At Hartman, she was able to pivot her career to focus on consulting and project management for nonprofit organizations, realizing a professional goal. Elssa also has experience serving alongside various organizations, including Union Church, SAFE (Safe Alternative Foundation for Education), Maryland Pubic Service Scholars, Thread, and many others.
In her free time, Elssa enjoys working out, making earrings, and exploring Baltimore and the surrounding areas. She also runs a wellness page and podcast. Elssa is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and a recent graduate of the Emerging Leaders Program through Leadership Montgomery.
