Throughout his career he has worked for a wide variety of organizations spanning nonprofits, associations, high-tech, market research, media and a United Nations agency. He has worked in every region of the world and lived in Europe for several years. As the CEO and founder of a consulting firm for nonprofits, John helped organizations define strategies, conduct research, engage new markets, and achieve organizational changes needed to fulfill their missions. He also served as Chief Operating Officer for the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, an international nonprofit, where he prepared the organization for significant growth by developing and implementing a strategic plan that included onboarding key senior positions, enacting digital transformation, and creating a new staff structure. Outside of work, you’re most likely to find John either sailing on the Chesapeake or teaching one of his four kids to drive. He is an Assistant Scout Master with Boy Scouts of America and enjoys attending meetings and campouts. He is also a volunteer with the American Red Cross.
