Mark understands the reality that we are constantly bombarded with data and deriving context from all of it can be difficult. To that end, he works with executives to bridge the gap between the massive amounts of data and what can be extracted from it to inform business strategy. Creative, adaptable and open-minded, Mark works with clients to best understand their needs and develop solutions to address those needs and move their organizations forward.
“While once the ‘back office’ of the professional world, technology has become the center spoke through which every part of an organization is now connected. The company that neglects its technology does so at its own peril.” - Mark Trotman, Senior Advisor
Prior to joining Hartman, Mark worked on both sides of the client/consultant relationship for organizations of vastly different scales. In his most recent role at Fila North America, he focused on business intelligence and was a key part of the company’s initial implementation of dashboards that defined the data structure and led to more informed business decisions. He was also at the forefront of a complex system that developed all document generation for the company, and now enjoys thinking about how documents from the system he built are traveling around the world. He loves how technology enables the work of a single person to ripple out at an incredible scale.
Mark describes himself as a “maker”, and juggles multiple creative hobbies including leatherworking, digital design, 3D printing and prop design. If it involves making something, you can almost guarantee that he has tried his hand at it. He also enjoys getting outside to hike and cycle local trails.
