“Technology can enhance operational strategies and business practices, preparing organizations to meet internal and external expectations and setting them up for exponential growth” — Ricky VentersRicky is a licensed professional engineer with a background in mechanical engineering. Prior to Hartman, he designed systems for hospitals, museums, K-12 schools, higher education and commercial buildings. After a transition to the construction industry, he became an owner’s representative for The Johns Hopkins Hospital and University, where he procured and managed contracts totaling up to $300 MM annually for construction management, general contracting, design and commissioning services. Also at Hopkins, Ricky facilitated workshops for startups focused on customer discovery, end-user experience and value propositions. Outside of work, Ricky spends time with his wife and three boys who enjoy traveling, sports and hiking together. He is also a small business coach with the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Baltimore program, as well as a mentor with the Innovation Works Mentor Network and a member of the strategic steering committee for the Maryland Business Roundtable for Education.
