Prior to joining Hartman, Walt held CIO roles with several organizations in the healthcare industry, including Coram, Apria Healthcare, NeighborCare, Versant Health and Hanger, where he was honored with Innotech Austin’s CIO of the Year award. Throughout his career, Walt gained a reputation for building high-performing, disciplined teams and being the type of leader they were eager to follow to multiple companies. His teams trusted his guidance and ability to align technology to meet business objectives, and were therefore able to deliver significant, lasting results to the organizations they served under his leadership.
Despite living in San Antonio, Walt is a devoted Baltimore Ravens fan and watches every game. He also enjoys running, golf, shooting, scuba diving, traveling and spending time with his family. Walt is a board member and executive vice chair of Prevent Blindness of Texas (PBT) and also serves as a customer advisory board member for Verizon, Verizon Wireless, Informatica and Equinix.
